THURSDAY 25th SEPTEMBER: 11th Anniversary of the international DJ Awards @ Pacha
Tonight´s the night of 11th Anniversary of the DJ Awards - one of the most important award ceremonies in the music calendar - taking place at one of Ibiza’s most glamorous venues (if not the), the one and only Pacha.
DJ DES PAUL will be hosting this always fantastic event alongside co-host Mariana Ribeiro, a Brasilian artist and dancer known to the public in Ibiza thanks to her performances at Manumission and Pacha. Featuring many internationally renowned DJs the night promises to be nothing short of entertaining (as always) with two live performances during the evening.
The pre-party and ceremony will be broadcast live via different radio stations nationwide and internationally, and Ibiza Sonica Radio will be the official broadcaster at the press cocktail party at Ocean Drive Hotel from 8 to 10pm (listen on http://www.white-ibiza.com via the Ibiza Sonica media player).

FRIDAY 26th SEPTEMBER: ´Wonderland´ Closing Party @ Eden
It´s been a summer of change, fun and frivolity at San Antonio´s Eden nightclub and Pete Tong´s Wonderland closing party promises to see the season out with more than a bang.
Pete Tong and Groove Armada will play three hour back to back sets in the main room, Evil Nine in the LOVEBOX, Jo Mills and Tomas Hedberg in The Looking Glass and Rob Marott will of course be there doing what he does best.
As you approach the entrance you’ll instantly recognise Eden´s distinctive gold dome, setting a mood of decadent Eastern glam by the sea. From exotic podium dancers to high-tech video displays and the highest quality in sound systems, no stone has been left unturned in the quest to create the ultimate in party venues.

MONDAY 29th SEPTEMBER: ´Indulge´ in a stay at Hotel Mirador de Dalt Vila

TUESDAY 30th SEPTEMBER: ´Swap-a-Frock´ at Atzaro and raise money for the Bathandwa orphange
From 5-8pm at Atzaro Agroturismo ladies (and gents) are invited to enjoy a glass of sparkles and chilled music whilst you swap your frocks and shop for new ones!
Please bring a minimum of two gently worn appealing items of womens clothing and/or bags to do a direct swap for two other items. Anything extra will be donated to the swap box. Those not wanting to swap are welcome to buy items ranging from 3€ to 15€.
An entrance fee of 10€ will be charged at the door to all swappers and buyers alike.
The Bathandwa Day and Night Care Centre is a place of safety that cares for abandoned, HIV+ and physically or mentally disabled children - children who would otherwise be left impoverished to wander the streets of Cape Town. It is in desperate need of development and rely entirely on donations to make this happen.

WEDNESDAY 1st OCTOBER: Ocho Brasserie throws open it's doors for lunch from today.
After enjoying seven years of success on Ibiza’s little sister Formentera, with the fantastic beachside B&B Las Banderas, vibrant couple Leah Tilbury and John Broekman have returned to the White Isle to recreate that same magic with their new restaurant Ocho.
Ocho (8) means both eternity and luck, ideals that inspired Leah and John when creating their new venture. Housed in an old (yet completely renovated) finca-style building along the picturesque route to the north’s San Juan, it is a cornucopia of colour - lamps scattered around the garden change from bright blues to soft orange and pink. You can feel the love that has gone into this enchanted garden setting, with personality shining from every corner.
From 1st October and right through the winter, Ocho will be open for lunch (and dinner of course) so make sure you try the menu del dia, aka 'Lunch by Leah'.

17/09/08: Kumhara’s Wax Da Beach with Ibiza Sonica radio
It was a sad day when alternative sunset hangout Kumhara’s in San Antonio Bay closed its doors (well, more like it’s wooden shutters but you get my drift) for a forced two-month closure after battling with the authorities for the past year and Miss W shed a tear or two, having watched many a beautiful sunset there in her time.
Which meant it was an even happier occasion when the venue reopened for business just over a week ago – and what better way to celebrate than with a live broadcast on Radio Sonica featuring Nightmares on Wax and the Wax On crew, for the aptly named three-hour Wax Da Beach show.
Miss W is a devoted listener of DJ E.A.S.E’s (aka George Evelyn, the man behind the mighty Nightmares On Wax project) weekly radio show Wax Da Box on Ibiza Sonica (from 6pm every Thursday for those who’d like to tune in and hear it themselves) so it didn’t take much to entice her into Kumhara’s when she heard the news – throw in a couple of glasses of chilled rosé, one (or two) of the infamous Nutella crepes and some chilled-out tunes courtesy of the Wax On crew and we were in business.
For one of the first nights this season it was chilly enough to actually wear jeans and a light scarf but thankfully the weather didn’t deter a healthy crowd from forming around the area where George was doing his thing – assisted by just a few of his talented friends including Negghead, Guts and some extra special help on the mike provided by his gorgeous daughter Mali (who struggled to see over the decks it must be said, but managed to pull off the sweetest guest vocals ever heard in Ibiza.
